This kind of gardening has long been considered by the purists to be a form of chemical agriculture. The thought of feeding tender young vegetable shoots a steady diet of chemicals was not what organic farmers had in mind. They were trying to get away from this type of farming practices, until a man named Steve Fox from Albuquerque, New Mexico came onto the hydroponic greenhouse gardening scene.
